農園とと ロゴデザイン Logo design for the Farm Toto
長野県上田市で農業を行っている「農園とと」のロゴデザインをさせていただきました。
打ち合わせでは農園ととの名前の由来から今やっている事、今後やっていきたい事などいろいろお話を伺っていくうちに、最終的に農園主であるダン君が農業に興味をもったきっかけである幼少期の原体験「お父さんの扱う農機具が好き！」というエピソードに至り、耕運機で畑を耕す姿をシルエットにしたロゴとなりました。農園ととの名前の由来は一家の父（とと）ががんばるという想いと、愛猫の名前トトから来ているので、ロゴには猫も入っています。
何年も兼業農家をしながら好きな事を追い続け、ついに専業農家として独立し、家族のため、地域の食のため実直に農業に取り組んでいるダン君を陰ながら応援してきたので、ロゴが少しでもお役に立てたら嬉しいです。

I designed the logo for Farm Toto, located in Ueda, Nagano, Japan.
During our initial meeting to discuss the logo design, I asked many questions about the farm and an episode about why Dan, who was the owner of the farm, was initially interested in farming came up. He was actually fascinated by a cultivator that his father used when he was a kid (and he still likes those types of machines such as motorcycles and cars after he grew up 😉 ). That was a formative experience for him to get into farming.
Now, Dan is a father of two and they have a cat named Toto. The farm’s name “Toto” was named after not only their beloved cat but also the word means father.
Thus the logo became a silhouette of the cat and Dan pushing a cultivator.
