Travel Sketches in Italy イタリア旅スケッチ
I traveled Italy, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands to eat good cheese in 2014.
2014年に（美味しいチーズを食べるため）イタリア→スイス→フランス→オランダを旅しました。
I found Fontina cheese and its original place Aosta in the northren Italy on my guide book. As I didn’t have much information about Aosta, I was a bit anxious before I go there, but I came to love the little town with beautiful mountains, old architecture and friendly people.
ガイドブックに小さく載っていたFontinaチーズに魅かれて行ったイタリア北部の小さな町Aostaは、宿があるのかどうかすら行ってみるまで未知でドキドキしましたが、行ってみたら山が近くて、古い建物や遺跡があり、人がフレンドリーでとても大好きな町になりました。
トランプに興じるCaffe Romaのお客さん
Caffe Roma is a cafe that local regular customers get together. The day after I sketched the exterior of the cafe, I entered the cafe. As the master of the cafe asked me to show the picture I had drawn his cafe, I showed it to him. He was happy to see it and I was also happy to see the people who enjoy my picture! And it was a bonus that he gave me free Latte Macchiato!
夕暮れ直前にスケッチしたCaffe Romaは地元の常連さんが集うカフェ。お店の外観をスケッチした翌日に入店してみると、カフェのマスターが「昨日描いてた絵を見せてよ」と声を掛けてくれてスケッチを喜んでくれた上に、Latte Macchiatoをおごってくれたのでした！
