おみやげ版 「ニュージーランド旅の思い出」Personal Souvenir / Painting of travel memories in New Zealand
旅におみやげはつきものですが、自分のためのおみやげは何にするべきかとても迷います。
大量生産で売られているTシャツじゃ皆一緒でつまらないし、お菓子は食べたら無くなっちゃうし。
ずっと忘れたくない大切な出来事があった旅なら、何年経っても思い出せるように思い出のカケラを残しておきたいですよね。
ワーキングホリデーでニュージーランドに来ていたオランダ人女子が依頼してくれた個人的なおみやげPersonal Souvenir。
彼女のNZでの3大思い出を聞かせてもらい、写真を基にB5サイズの1枚の紙にイラスト化してまとめました。
テカポ湖でユニークなガイドさんの星空観察ツアーに参加した事、Mount Robertに一緒に行った仲間と意気投合して終始笑いっぱなしなほど楽しかった事、Roy’s Peakで寒さに震えながら見た空一面ピンク色の朝焼けが美しかった事。
1時間ほどの打ち合わせで聞かせてもらった旅の思い出はどれも楽しく、私まで一緒に旅したような気持ちになりました。
彼女も私も1人旅だったけれども、これから先この絵を見るたび、NZで出会った様々な顔が思い浮かぶのでしょうね。
そしてそれがずっと心の支えになりますように！
When I travel, it is difficult to choose a souvenir for myself. Mass producing T-shirt is not so special and food is gone after eating. I would love to have something to bring back good memories of the travel even years later. That’s the reason why I draw pictures in my travel.
The client who is Dutch girl traveling in New Zealand asked me to draw “personal souvenir”. I heard the story of her three biggest memories in NZ and I drew it on one B5 size paper. In Lake Tekapo, she joined the stargazing tour with the unique guide, and in Mount Robert, she and her friends well clicked and enjoy the time with lots of laugh, then in Roy’s peak, it was so cold but the pink morning glow suddenly turned to was worth to wait and see. Every story she told me was exciting and I felt like I also traveled with her! Both of us traveled alone, but every time we see the painting, people who met in NZ will come into our mind in the years to come. And I hope it always supports our heart!
